PEOPLE OF NORTHANTS - WE NEED YOUR HELP!

If you’ve been reading my training blog you’ll know that I’ve been benefitting from CrossFit.

What is CrossFit? It’s constantly varied functional movement performed at high intensity. First you learn how to move your body properly and once this is completed you progress to loading with weight and increasing the complexity of movements. 

I’m very fortunate because I have such a brilliant coach in Jack Fleckney. He’s a former Royal Marine Commando, who is now following his undivided passion for coaching and his mission is to produce a top of the range training facility, based in Wellingborough, to train future athletes to elite levels and to coach and help and improve the lives of the local population – CrossFit East Northants.

In order to get the facility up and running as soon as possible CFEN needs the council to approve the change of use of the building. This is where you can help!

My progess has been astounding. I’ve not only seen a massive improvement in my functional movement patterns but my strength has improved. I’ve run, the first time since breaking my femur in 2012. That leg has also gained important muscle mass so much so that I’ve cancelled an operation to have metal work out, metal work that was causing pain due to my muscle wastage. So I don’t miss any off-season training. It’s meant I can do things that were previously ruled out and I feel like I have a new world of possibilities ahead of me.
